Key collection or a door code is sent with your welcome guide once your booking is confirmed. The welcome guide is access-gated — it reaches you after payment, not published on the site.

The flat comes with its own private parking space, including a charging point for electric cars. Exact arrangements are confirmed in your welcome guide before arrival.

Wi-Fi runs throughout the flat, which is warm and well insulated, with a chimney (Cheminée) in the living room. The kitchen is fitted with V-Zug appliances and a dishwasher; a shared laundry room with a washing machine and dryer is in the building. Appliance instructions are in the welcome guide.

Bed linens and towels are included and made up before you arrive. A small set of starter supplies is provided to see you through the first day.

Maximum occupancy 8 guests. No smoking inside the flat. No pets. No parties or events. Quiet hours 22:00–07:00, out of respect for neighbours in the building. Guests are responsible for any damage beyond normal wear and tear. Full house rules are on the legal page.

A 20% deposit reserves your dates and is non-refundable; the balance is charged 30 days before arrival. Cancel 30 or more days before arrival — you lose the deposit only; fewer than 30 days before — the accommodation charge is non-refundable. If we re-let the cancelled nights, we refund you up to what we recover, and the cleaning fee and visitor's tax are refunded if the stay does not take place. See the Terms & conditions.

The Kurtaxe set by the Meiringen-Hasliberg tourism region is charged per guest per night as a separate line at checkout, and Owl's Nest remits it to the authorities. Swiss guest registration (Meldepflicht) is handled by us; ID details for every overnight guest are collected at booking or check-in.

Every overnight guest in the Haslital receives the free digital Guest Card for the length of the stay. It gives free use of local public transport — the PostBus lines, the Zentralbahn (Meiringen–Innertkirchen and the Brünig line) and the Meiringen–Reuti cable car — plus discounts at 25+ regional partners, including the Aare Gorge and the Sherlock Holmes Museum. It's funded by the visitor's tax you already pay, and we issue it with your guest registration on arrival.

No — pets are not allowed at Owl's Nest.

The flat is on the top floor, reached by stairs with no lift, so it is not step-free. If you have specific access needs, write to us before booking and we'll be honest about whether it suits.
